Corrosion Resistance Properties
- ASTM B 117-19 Salt Spray Testing
- 2024-T3 Bare chemically treated with a MIL-DTL-81706, Type I, Class 1A, Method C conversion coating.
- Tested to 168 and 336 hours with no pits or other indications of corrosion on any of the test panels.
End Grain Pitting (EGP) & Intergranular Attack (IGA)
- Alloys 2024-T3, 6061-T4 and 7075-T6
- Tested at the upper concentration limits for 15-minute immersion times.
- Room Temperature and 100oF (38oC).
- Conforms to EGA of <0.001”.
- Conforms to IGA of <0.0002”.
